The “Corporate Cup” is the business division of the Deseret News Marathon relay race and pits your company against others vying to prove that they have the fastest employees in the state. It’s a great opportunity for co-workers to get outside, have fun, build comradery and conquer something difficult together. The marathon relay follows the same 26.2 mile route as the marathon but is broken into four manageable legs: 

• Leg 1: Marathon start to Little Dell Reservoir Parking Lot (6.75 miles)
• Leg 2: Emigration Canyon Turn-off to Hogle Zoo (9.75 miles)
• Leg 3: Hogle Zoo to Rice Eccles Stadium (5.25 miles)
• Leg 4: Rice Eccles Stadium to The Finish (4.25 miles) 

Runners will descend on the historic pioneer trail in Emigration Canyon, entering downtown Salt Lake City where they finish along the Days of ‘47 parade route in front of 100K+ spectators. The corporate team with the fastest time will be awarded the “Corporate Cup” trophy–inscribed with their winning time–to display in their office until the 2027 race.
 
Not interested in the relay? No worries, the Deseret News Marathon also includes a full marathon, half-marathon, 10K, 5K and kids’ 1K for individual runners.
