This workshop is focused on one of the most dynamic and game-changing manufacturing technologies in play today—Metals Additive Manufacturing. Also known as 3D Printing with Metals, this technology has been labeled as “disruptive” by many industry experts! Many local companies have reported that their competitors are investing in this technology, and see a great need to learn more about its benefits.
Developed by the University of Utah Mechanical Engineering Department, in collaboration with the University of Utah Manufacturing Extension Partnership Center, this workshop provides answers to these questions:
Upon workshop completion, participants will have a basic understanding of 3D Printing with Metals and how they might use this technology to pivot their business, strengthen their position in the supply chain, and promote their company’s economic and workforce reliance.
